Jude Murray, MA, IYN Yoga Elder, Yoga Alliance UK SYT (Senior Yoga Teacher)
Jude is a yoga teacher, complementary therapist and Anam Cara, with some twenty five years’ experience as a teacher, trainer and group-work facilitator in the public and voluntary sectors and in private industry. She has been offering Yoga classes and workshops since 2004, including her own unique take on Celtic Yoga – informed by her Yoga practice and her personal practice of Celtic Druidry. In 2012, she opened “In The Moment” – a centre for yoga, movement and well-being in Glasgow. She has been course director on Healing Space since 2011.
Jude started offering yoga to people living with cancer in 2006, while working as Health & Wellbeing Manager for Breast Cancer Care. Since then she has worked extensively in acute, palliative, integrative and community care settings, including the renowned Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, Cowal Hospice and The Vital Force.
Her experience has brought her into contact with patients who are either recovering or receiving active treatment for many types of cancer and are receiving a range of treatments including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, stem cell transplants, hormone and targeted therapies as well as various scans, tests and invasive procedures. Jude has an in-depth understanding of the impact of these treatments and their side effects, and has completed studies in cancer biology and clinical oncology. She continues to research and learn.
“Teaching is a gift and a joy that I share gladly, with an open heart and all the love I can muster.”
Jude is available for one to one personal mentoring, advice and support via Skype or Facebook video call.
